Rugby is a game that stems back to the legends of the 1800's. Inherited from football, it is a sport that is brutal in its impact but masterful in its play-making. Individuals train for years to be part of the sport from grassroots (school level) to tertiary, club and then professional. Such individuals quite literally put everything they have on the line for their team and in many cases their country.

With the 2015 Rugby World Cup scheduled for September and hosted in England, FirstStep.me examines the sport that has conquered an international following like no other.

It is common knowledge that a traditional gap year, sabbatical or whatever you prefer to call it, generally involves some form of travel to a far off location. A get away from the hustle and bustle of a supposedly highly demanding academic or working world.

We at OriginalSteps.com in typical extraordinary superhero-like fashion, have gone a little out there to add time travel to the mix. The reason being that the typical Gap Year has changed and many individuals seem to be on a trend of using a break or gap at various stages of their life and not just after high school or university but literally slap in the middle of working life!

Making the gap year to be somewhat a kind of escape from reality or a refreshing “power nap” from a stressful career. Here are our choices of films and television series which could inspire a Gap Year!

Small, feisty and smart!

If you can turn a blind eye to the life of crime that Scott Lang once pursued, it is his career as an Electronic Engineer/ Electronic Technician (he is listed as doing both), you would think they are the same – but they are not! Therefore one can be super smart even though they are super tiny. Yes, we know – very corny!

Nowadays the concept of imagination has indefinitely caught up with the most of our world. Gone are the days whereby only science fiction writers and movie makers created visionary ideas that could possibly be the future. The future it seems is happening now.

And if Ecocapsule is anything to go by, well the now is looking more visionary than ever before.

The story of Ecocapsule was certainly not written by science fiction writers. Rather the Ecocapsule story comes from a group of young architects. Architects who saw the need for change.
