A FirstStep.me feature,

Superheros, spies and galaxy adventures seem to be dominating the planet's viewership! But online streaming is breaking borders with Netflix making massive inroads into the market.

Whilst the world seems broken, Hollywood, movie and television makers are still churning out the proverbial imagination into reality.

It has been a while since a hard hitting magical movie that changed perceptions and broke borders has lead at the Box Office. Sure there are charming and edgy films out there which draw an audience, but it seems it will be a while before we see a film like All the Presidents Men draw a crowd as a big as the Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Unsurprisingly The Avengers did steal the show, Bond steamed up screens again and The Man from U.N.C.L.E did not generate what was needed, but heck they tried by sticking Superman and the Lone Ranger in a Guy Ritchie Film. Then of course the world waited for the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. So whilst everyone waited basically the whole of 2015 for the next Star Wars instalment, online streaming kept the world entertained.

The Netflix effect:

Netflix rolled out a number of series that caught ones breath. Narcos based on the story of Pablo Escobar gripped audiences attention whilst Marvel's Daredevil and Jessica Jones were turned into a decent set of series. Though Netflix has set the tone, the future of home entertainment is beginning to shape up nicely as Amazon, HBO and the like engage each other in a content hustle of sorts.

Films of the natural and unnatural kind:

Jurassic World stomped around 2015 like Big Foot on Steroids giving every Zoo keeper on the planet nightmares for life. Disney is hoping to push a Chris Nolan Batman approach on the Jungle Book. Oh yes, Baloo is going to be as real as can be!

And speaking of Batman, time for the Superhero equation that would make a beautiful mind confused.

So in 2016 Batman is going up against Superman, meaning Batman (Ben Affleck) who once was the Daredevil and Superman who is also The Man from U.N.C.L.E. will lock horns. Whilst Hancock (Will Smith) will be a part of the Suicide Squad as Deadshot. But Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) who was once the Green Lantern will be Deadpool again after arriving in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Confused...it’s okay, because in order to balance out all the confusion they bringing back the Joker! Phew.

And if Hollywood was feeling a bit flush on the male dominated releases, they are pushing out an all-female version of the Ghostbusters called the Ghostbusters...
