USB Executive Development (USB-ED) has partnered with ACCA SA to present the Certified Sustainability Assurance Practitioner (CSAP) Qualification, the first internationally recognised professional qualification in the field of sustainability assurance.
The qualification aims to:
make it easier for organisations to identify competent and credible assurance expertise
enable practitioners to develop, validate and communicate their competence in a systematic manner
improve stakeholder confidence in the expertise of sustainability assurance professionals engaged by organisations
There are three grades of the qualification: Associate Practitioner, Practitioner and Lead Practitioner.
What sets this intervention apart?
The training programme fulfils the requirements for the trainee to become an Associate Certified Sustainability Assurance Practitioner (CSAP) and contributes towards the requirements to become a CSAP Practitioner or CSAP Lead Practitioner. It is also relevant for those with a professional interest in sustainability at any stage of their career. This programme has been submitted to the AccountAbility for certification. It meets the training requirements for Associate level CSAP.

-Current sustainability report assurance practitioners who have not yet registered with the International Register for Certified Auditors (IRCA) for CSAP accreditation but wish to seek Associate CSAP, CSAP Practitioner or CSAP Lead Practitioner accreditation
-Junior or in-development sustainability report assurance practitioners seeking IRCA's Associate CSAP accreditation
-Sustainability reporting practitioners who work in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and/or communications departments with the responsibility of producing meaningful sustainability reports
-Internal audit practitioners who provide sustainability assurance and/or consultancy services within a corporate environment
-Investors, analysts and other interested persons wishing to understand global sustainability reporting and assurance
