In a move to engender a culture and investing amongst women, the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) will be bringing together financial experts for an interactive investment seminar geared for aspirant female investors on Saturday 17 August 2013.
The event called ‘Stock for Frocks’ will be hosted at the JSE in partnership with etfSA and Ann Wilson, The Wealth Chef. “Attendees will learn from inspirational women who understand money and how to make it work for them. There will be an interactive session where guests will be able to ask questions and learn about these women’s success,” says Adèle Hattingh, Market Development Analyst at the JSE.
The exchange has a number of initiatives to grow ordinary South Africans’ investment knowledge. “Investing on the JSE does not need to be as complex as what many South Africans believe it to be. Investors don’t large sums of money to invest on the JSE, as they can access the market through an exchange traded fund for as little as R300 per month,” adds Hattingh.
