Name: Lauren “squirrel” Beukes
Age: 31
Current Occupation: Head Writer on URBO
So what exactly is it that you do? I work with two other crazy writers in Team Scripticon. We come up with the story for the series, planning out meticulously where it’s going, write the scripts, edit the scripts, and develop ideas for new series. We each write one script a week and then edit each other’s work to make the jokes funnier, tighten up the story and generally make it more awesome than it is already.

Name: Wynand (the munki) Groenewald
Age: 25
Current Occupation: animation director/lead animator/technical lead
So what is exactly is it that you do? Supervise animators and make sure to keep a level of consistency and quality in the animation. Also, I animate.
Why in the world would you choose a career in animation? I’ve always wanted to be an animator – ever since the day I realized that one could get paid for drawing. (turns out it’s harder than it sounds, but the fun makes up for it)

Name: Matthew (The Mongoose) Brown
Age: 30
Current Occupation: Television Director
So what exactly is it that you do?
I direct the look and feel of the show. This involves directing the actors in the voice recording studio to squeeze out every drop of emotion, decide how to frame the shots to best tell the story (is this a dramatic close-up or an extreme wide-shot), oversee the animation to make sure the characters’ “performance” matches the story and approve the final edit and sound mix.
